APROPAL is a Peruvian socio-business organization with a history of more than 2 decades, dedicated to the cultivation, production and marketing of canned hearts of palm.
The organization was born in 1997 with the initiative of the Peruvian Government and Spanish Cooperation, as a productive alternative within the Law for the eradication of coca crops, grouping farmers from the northern jungle of Peru, who had been affected by the violence of terrorism and saw their only source of survival in the coca cultivation activity.
